How AECOM’s Visit Strengthened Hive Modular’s Vision for Scalable and Sustainable Housing in the Philippines
Hive Modular welcomed AECOM to its factory for a closer look at how modular construction, prefab construction, and modular housing systems can scale sustainable housing in the Philippines. The visit highlighted how modular homes in the Philippines, modular home design, and flexible modular designs including homes 2 bedroom layouts support modern housing needs and community growth.

Silang, Cavite, Philippines, November 27, 2025 – One of my favorite things to do as the founder of Hive Modular is to bring visitors to our factory so they can see firsthand how we are shaping the future of construction and manufacturing in the Philippines. Walking through the production floor allows people to understand how our approach to modular construction and modular housing creates a more efficient and more sustainable way to build. It is the best way to show how we design and deliver modular homes in the Philippines that respond to the needs of modern housing while remaining grounded in the realities of local communities.
Two months ago, we welcomed a group from AECOM, one of the leading engineering consulting firms in the world. Their visit focused on how sustainable construction can scale in the Philippines and how innovative systems can support the growth of modular homes, modular housing, and modular build strategies that lower cost and improve quality. We discussed how these ideas contribute to sustainable housing and how scalable solutions can create real social impact both here and in other regions facing similar challenges.
Our conversation explored the value of modular home design, modular housing design, and the prefabricated construction process that allows us to maintain consistency while adapting each project to the needs of a site or community. We also shared how prefab construction makes it possible to produce layouts ranging from compact homes 2 bedroom configurations to larger builds that support a wider range of families. Visitors are often surprised by how much flexibility exists within modular designs, and how easy it becomes to build prefab systems that can support long term development goals.
I am grateful to Sylvester Wong and the AECOM team for taking the time to walk through our process and for their interest in the future of sustainable construction. Their visit reinforces the importance of collaboration as we continue creating modular modular homes, modular homes modular homes, and homes modular homes that bring innovation, efficiency, and dignity to communities throughout the Philippines.
Let’s keep building. 🐝
